forest of dreams

i’m lost in a forest of dreams

don’t know which way to go

where i’ve been

or how i got here

i just let the flickering lights of the fireflies guide me until i don’t need assistance

but i got scared when the lights started to dim and the dark shadows started to cave in

alone and afraid

but then i sparked a match and as it gleams i remember the story of when i found it way back when before everything began

the dirt between my toes started to feel familiar

like i walked this path before

the smell of the breeze felt like home

maybe in a past life

maybe in a dream

maybe 5 minutes ago

and i had this overwhelming feeling that everything will

be okay

i’ll be okay

even if i’m alone

i’ll always find my way back home
